Robert Maynard, ASN, RN, has worked in emergency medicine since 1995. A serious car accident in his late teens required the kind of expert, rapid-response care that left a lasting impression and pointed him toward a career in the field.
He started on the streets of Massachusetts as an EMT and paramedic, running 911 calls for nine years. In 2004 he earned his Associate of Science in Nursing degree and went straight into emergency nursing. For the next ten years every shift he worked was in an emergency department – from Level I trauma centers and academic medical centers in Boston, to busy community ERs on Martha’s Vineyard and in Maine, to high-volume emergency rooms in the Las Vegas/Henderson area of Nevada. He also completed numerous travel-nursing contracts in emergency departments across New England and beyond.
In 2015, after twenty consecutive years in emergency care, Robert stepped away from clinical nursing to pursue business interests outside of direct patient care. His license became inactive during that period.
In 2025 he successfully reinstated his Nevada RN license, brought all continuing education current, and earned fresh American Heart Association certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. With decades of real-world emergency and trauma experience and fully refreshed credentials, he is now actively seeking the right emergency department team to join full-time.
